Family tradition:
My father began polishing amber in 1932. We began here in Mygdal in 1978. The rest of the family help when it is necessary.
Mygdal is a very little village with only 100 homes. We chose a life of artistry, selling direktly from our home instead of a touristbased business in one of the larger towns.
Creative workshop:
When we grind, polish or set amber in silver or gold we would enhance the forms and colours of nature. Repairs can often be done while the customer is waiting.
The real thing:
Everything we sell is pure amber. Our silver is nickelfree sterling (925) and our gold is 14 ct (585). We simply have everything in amber i.e. necklaces, earrings, buttons, rings, brooches, bracelets, tiepins, and cuff links etc.

Exhibition and information:
Through the years we have collected many exciting things. I.e. rare, large lumps, pieces with special colours (white, black, blue ) and pieces with insects. You can even learn how to see the difference between real amber and false amber.
Take your piece along
If you have been lucky to find a piece of amber, you can get it appraised or polished in our workshop.
Open :
Monday-Friday 10 -17 . We have chosen to work all year round and not only when the tourists are watching, therefor our shop is closed weekends and church holidays. (holiday closing 24/12-11/1) With kindly regard: Gerda og Benni Højer
